Yachtworld.com launches new Web site design, announces content hosting agreement with major marine publications

SEATTLE, Wash., Jun. 8, 1999--YachtWorld�.com, the dominant Internet resource for yacht buyers and broker's, launched its newly redesigned Web site on May 1st incorporating several new features to further expand its services to the marine community.

With the new site design comes the announcement that YachtWorld.com will feature news, articles, and editorial information from noted marine publications Sea Magazine and Go Boating in its new Reading Room section. In exchange, both magazines will actively market the YachtWorld.com Web site in each monthly edition of their magazines. A similar operating arrangement is already in place with Power & Motoryacht Magazine.

The new YachtWorld.com Web site also now features rich photographic images from noted marine photographer Neil Rabinowitz, who worked closely with the YachtWorld personnel to select and recommend images of power, sail and marine related activities for the redesign. A marine News & Weather section was also added.

"We felt it was time to completely redesign the site and expand our content and features," said General Manager Neil McCurdy. "We are delighted to be able to feature new content from Sea Magazine and Go Boating. Not only do we offer the ability for viewers to subscribe to these fine publications online, we now have News & Weather, more search features, and better access to the information requested by our loyal viewers," he added.

As the site continues to grow, so too has visitor traffic. With over 17,000 boats for sale from over 550 advertising yacht brokers, traffic continues to grow with average daily page views increasing at an unprecedented rate. During the month of April over 4.5 million pages of information were viewed by over 180,000 interested marine enthusiasts.

Marine enthusiasts look to the rich photo content and comprehensive listings information on YachtWorld.com in order to locate power and sailboats ranging in size from 20 feet to over 300 feet. Visitors to the site can also leave a personal boat notification message that automatically alerts them by email when a vessel matching their requirements is located or posted on the site.
