One of the original Danish fishing boats which convert so well to sail and have the lovely elliptical counter stern. Massively built of oak on oak, this boat was rebuilt 2001 - 2007 with extensive replanking, new deck and a completely new interior and systems installed. 10 berths. Mercedes diesel. She has been chartering since 2009.

These Danish fishing boats with their elliptical counter sterns are the most desirable hulls for conversion to sail. They are massively built, they look right and sail well. They are no longer allowed to be exported from Denmark and are becoming very rare.
She was originally built as a fishing vessel in 1929 and fished in the North Sea. In 1991 she was sold to Swedish owners, and in 2001 the current owner purchased her and rebuilt her. The deck, rigging, interior, electrics, hydraulics, plumbing and systems were installed new from 2001-2007, also planking and ballast replaced as detailed below.
2007 – 2009 she was sailed to Croatia and has been working as a commercial charter vessel since.

Carvel 2” oak planking on 5” x 6” sawn oak frames, alternate frames are doubled. Iron fastened. Copper sheathed around the waterline.
2001 – 2007: over 400 metres of planking was replaced. The old concrete ballast was removed and replaced with concrete and iron punchings (15 tons). New transom post, rudder trunk and stock.
New 2001 – 2007. Larch planking on 2 x 18mm ply. Existing deck beams used. Bulwarks all round.
Coachroof coamings in painted pine. Bronze portholes. Coachroof deck teak on ply. Hydraulic wheel steering.

Keel stepped solid timber masts, oiled. Booms and spars solid timber, oiled. Slab reefing.
Standing rigging in galvanised wire, parcelled and served, 2006. Galvanised rigging screws, external galvanised chainplates.

New 2007 in Duradon: Mainsail, boomed staysail, jib. In good condition.

Mercedes Benz OM403 320hp, 10 cylinder. 1976. Rentjes 5:1 reduction gearbox, single lever control. Centreline shaft to 3 blade propeller.
This engine was completely rebuilt in 2000 and serviced in January 2015.
Cruising speed 7 kts, max 10 kts. Fuel consumption 12 litres/hour.
