Beloved and well known in the region, S/V Resolute has carried thousands of young people over the years in various research, education and training programs. Designed and built by Luders Marine Construction Company in Stamford, CT, for the U.S. Naval Academy's sail training program, this beautiful mahogany-hull yawl is perfect for sailing up and down Puget Sound.
Currently, she is owned by a Resolute Foundation. It would not be difficult to use the boat for some type of training or charter vessel because she currently holds a UCSG Certificate of Inspection for 10 passengers. She was engaged by Evergreen College for many years as part of their research and training programs. At one time the college did a complete restoration.
She has beautiful lines and though she was hauled last year for bottom and mast paint, she is in need of some repairs, mostly above the waterline. The decks are in great condition- the engine and the sails are all fine.
S/V Resolute is an elegant part of history. She needs a new Captain.
