Voyager II is a Lash Brothers Friendship Sloop built in Friendship, Maine. She was launched as a bare hull on November 20, 1965 with a Christmas tree mast and towed to Scituate, Massachusetts, for her owner, Bernie Mackenzie, a founding member of the Friendship Sloop Society. For 7 years he finished her and sailed his first race in Friendship Maine in 1972. She was purchased by a friend of the original owner in 2002, who sailed with the owner many years and who installed a new engine in 2014. She is a well-maintained classic sloop with beautiful finish work and lines. These sloops are not only fun but sturdy in all weather and an experience of ease on the water.
