                         Winter in Mexico!

This is a well-kept and functional home on the Mexican coast for a couple or small family. A great tropical lifestyle is yours with the conveniences of a liveaboard and the capacity of an offshore cruiser and sportfisher.   She has been kept in Mexico for over nine years, first in La Paz and then in Barra de Navidad and offers a great lifestyle for minimal investment. You can spend November through June cruising and lounging in the Sea of Cortez or the Mexican Riviera anchored in coves or at one of the fabulous marinas with swimming pools and a resort life, and then button her up for summer (extensive covers included). Why spend a fortune for a condo, and take the risk of real-estate which you can't move or take with you?  Plus you can go fishing and diving!  Originally built in 1969 by Phil Caricoff (Aluminum Marine) as a luxury sportfisher for movie director/producer John Sturges (Ice Station Zebra, Magnificent Seven) with cost as no object, this vessel  has been well-kept and shows well. She has a huge 16' beam which makes a very spacious interior and cockpit. Great as a liveaboard, (big shower, 3 air conditioning units, screens on all windows, a good galley), she is also a good cruiser (900 mile range at 9.5 knots, Newer Onan 9KVA generator with soundshield, chartplotter, radar, 3 fathometers and very reliable twin Cummins 370hp diesels). For sportfishing she has a huge cockpit with bait tank and outriggers.   Outrider has the quality of the older yachts like Elliott, Marlineer or Dittmar and Donaldson, in a size managed easily by a couple. She was built of the very best materials including marine grade (5086-H34) aluminum alloy and has never had corrosion problems.  In 1969 she cost $250,000 to build.    King size master forward (with dedicated A/C unit and flatscreen tv), twin bunks in guest stateroom and a good big head with shower opposite. Galley is "up" to port (freezer and refrigerator, electric stove) with lower helm to starboard. A big, comfortable salon with pull-out double bed and large dinette opposite.  Large sliding glass door oipens to a huge cockpit.   Exterior repainted with Imron 5 years ago and looks great!  Just waxed and with beautiful varnish. Extensive awnings to keep the sun off. Recent improvements include new 120 volt panel, new engine starting batteries, hull underwater lights, big Magma stainless steel grill in the cockpit.
