According to current owner:
She started her life as a successful ocean racer and then was converted to a ocean cruiser by Koopmans yard.
Originally built in Holland as in 1970 by Massdam-Dekker in Oud Beijerland, the steel hull was moved to Royal Huisman where she was completed. She is a Koopman's design Ketch with rigging to Sparkman & Stephens specifications. The present owner has spared no expense to bring her back to "New" condition from top to bottom! Electronics, rigging, sails, mechanicals, electrical and paint. ALL NEW! She is very unique, sails like a dream and must be seen.
Boat Received total restoration in 2010-2012. This exceptional 48' S&S steel offshore Ketch had undergone a total restoration and is ready for your next adventure!!
This is a great choice for serious Blue water cruising - to South to Mexico, West across the South Pacific or North to the North West and Alaska!
She is well found with just about all the gear you could want to be ready to go that include water maker, new tankage, new electronics, autopilot, wind generator, and new mechanical systems.
On top of that, she gives you the speed and excellence in sailing and handling, coupled with the sturdiness and forgiveness of steel for protection against collisions with "unidentified floating objects" and unfriendly rocky or coral bottoms.
Her unique two-cabin layout provides much needed access to the cockpit for safety. Wide side decks, new engine, main mast running backstays, massive steel lifting eyes, cruising cockpit, dedicated aft cabin, new exterior paint. You name it - this boat has it.

Stepping from the cockpit through twin teak doors forward, you descent into a bright main salon with a bench settee to starboard and a L-shaped settee to port. There is a study center teak table with fold-up leaves to allow a large group to dine comfortably.
A full galley is to port aft. Forward is the V-berth, a large space with twin berths, its' own head, and tremendous storage. Hatch and port lights create a bright and airy space.
