“Blue Note” offers good comfort and performance in a solid hull. She has a distinct look that will turn heads when she enters a harbor and cause you to pause on your trip to shore.
“Blue Note” has had two owners and resides on the cold, clean, freshwaters of Lake Michigan
Built by Tartan Marine in Grand River, OH
Note: 30 gal. water tank does not work
Designed by Sparkman & Stephens.
Tartan sailboats are known for their solid, high quality construction. The interior is an inviting combination of white with teak accents and like new, blue vinyl cushions.
The forward cabin serves as the owner’s stateroom with hanging locker to starboard, shelf space, and privacy door.
The head is to port with a manual head & holding tank, stainless steel sink in molded counter top, mirror, shower grate, cabinet, and storage shelves.
The port L shaped dinette has storage behind and outboard and can serve as double berth. The fold-down & removable dinette table provides ample space for those eating below decks. There are single quarter berths to port and starboard. Good light and ventilation are provided by multiple ports, Dorade vents, deck hatches, and the companionway. The interior grab rails make movement below decks safe and secure in a seaway.
The amidships galley to starboard has efficient storage, stainless steel sink with a cold pressure water (Not operational), 6 feet of counter space, insulated ice box, a gimbaled Kenyon two burner alcohol stove (modified to use Sterno).
The outward facing, fold-up navigation station is to starboard in front of the quarter berth with storage outboard and underneath.
There is additional storage under the companionway/cockpit.
