This wide body aluminum 68' motoryacht is one of thirteen ever built by Chris Craft. Miramare is a large comfortable cruising flybridge motoryacht with a classic flushdeck design. She boast three large staterooms with full ensuite head/showers, four heads total. The interior was completely redesigned and updated to show as a more modern configuration since new. She has had upgrades her entire life and was just hauled and bottom painted July 2015.

The Roamer features a split- level layout with a deck house salon and lower level dining area, three staterooms each with a private head and crews quarters forward. The galley is on the deck house level, open to the spacious full width and extended main salon with a large walk behind bar. The small aft deck is suitable for line handling duties, the flybridge is able to handle a small crowd with ease. Miramare's salon and helmdeck was reconfigured in 2001 which makes her unique compared to other Roamers of this model.
The V-Berth has twin upper and lower bunks to starboard. This area is presently being used as a office, storage, laundry room and walk-in closet. To port is a hanging locker, set of drawers and commercial size washer and dryer. Forward you will find a ensuite head with shower stall and sink. Ample storage through out cabin. Anchor chain locker access forward of the V-berth.
Aft of the crews quarters is the spacious galley. The galley was completely rebuilt in 2001. All appliances were replaced in 2013. The galley also includes marble flooring as well as teak panel cabinets and granite counter tops. There is plenty of pantry and storage for food goods.
Up one step and aft of the galley is the large dining salon with Hemingway table/desk seating for six, two or three more persons can be seated at the granite counter/bar if needed. Roman window shades throughout. The galley TV mounted forward allows for viewing while sitting at counter or preparing meals. Engine access located via deck hatch in dining area.
Five steps down and aft of the dining salon is a hallway giving access to the guest cabins with ensuite heads/shower stalls located on port and starboard.The guest heads include granite vanity sinks, electric Head hunter heads with separate shower stalls. The guest cabin starboard offers a full size bed with two small dressers and cedar hanging closet. Beneath the bed is a 100 gallon plastic water tank. The guest cabin port has a queen size bed, dresser and ceder hanging closet. Drawers located under bed and a 32" flatscreen TV with built-in DVD player mounted on bulkhead at the foot of the bed.
Aft of the guest staterooms at the end of the passageway is the master stateroom. This stateroom boast a full width cabin with ensuite head and separate shower stall to port. There are large cherry wood dressers added to the cabin located on the port and starboard side with nightstands and lamps. There is also a cedar hanging locker and desk/make-up area. Beneath the king size berth is a 350 gallon plastic water tank and a linen closet to port. Besides the marine air conditioner there is a supplemental A/C unit in the port closet capable of cooling entire room.
Up five steps from dining salon aft is the pilothouse helm station. The helm station was reconfigured and is now more functional than the factory station. Wing doors with screens located port and starboard make easy access to the deck and on off access to vessel. All pilothouse floors are marble. Aft of the helm station is access stairs to flybridge.
Aft of the pilothouse is a large salon. To port is a large leather couch, wood coffee table, leather chair with ottoman, twin chairs one with ottoman and matching cabinet with granite top and lamp. To center forward is the wet bar with granite top encompassing a single stainless Steel sink,. There is a wine cooler, refrigerator and storage cabinets. Aft there is a door with screen which gives access to the aft deck. The aft deck is equipped with a ladder to swimplatform. Roman windows shades throughout salon.
Up the ladder from the pilothouse is the large flybridge. A captains seat is located center and passenger seat to port. Aft of the upper helm station is a large U-shaped seating area with a large teak dining table. The flybridge can hold up to 12 or more people comfortably. Aft of the seating area is a Strong Arm dinghy davit system with dinghy chocks.
Access to lazarette via hatch in center of aft deck. Housed in lazarette are three Marine Air air conditioning units and access to rudder post.
Boarding to Miramare is forward of the port or starboard pilothouse doors. Large walk-around side decks lead forward to the front deck which has seating for ten adults. The deck is aluminum painted in white non-skid. The cabin house is fiberglass is also painted white. Mounted to port and starboard are two deck boxes. There is a electric windlass with anchor and 175' 5/8" chain.
Access to the engine room is via the galley area. There is a forward machinery area housing five air conditioning units, water maker, air compressor, oil storage tank and tool storage area. Pass through aft to main engine room. Vessel is powered with reliable Detroit Diesel 1271 TI engines which were factory rated (Intermediate Yacht Rating) at 690 HP each, coupled to Twin Disc 514 2:1 gears. These engines have approximately 1050 hours since major servicing (cylinder kits) and are 24 volt started. The twin 15 KW Onan generators, installed 1992, have approximately 2235 hours. Gen sets are 12 volt started. Generators had major service in October 2014. All machinery has been well cared for by the owner or through contracted service.
The main engines have Walker Air Separators. There are Racor model 1000 and 500 series fuel filter systems for the mains and gensets respectively. The owner takes great care to change main and gen set lubricants and filters every 100 hours or less. He is a retired employee of MTU Detroit Diesel Corporation, Marine Group.
The vessel has a 12V DC system as the main battery power. Engine starting takes 24V DC.
There are numerous lifejackets, throwable life rings, lines, fenders, fuel and oil filters, pump impellers, ect... There are spare props, stub shafts and a Tiderider boarding ladder with cover. There are several 12V DC and one 115V AC bilge pumps, up to date engine/service manuals and complete vessel logs since March 2003 showing all maintenance and cruising records. This vessel is wired for satellite TV antenna dome. New bottom paint July 2015.
