The Princess 36, was built by Allied Boat Company in Catskill, New York. A robust New England ketch the Princess is a comfortable blue-water cruising boat. Designed by Arthur Edmunds and first introduced in 1972, the Princess enjoyed a 10-year production run during which about 140 hulls were built, which likely makes it the most successful boat produced by Allied during its 22 years of existence (1962-84).
This example has been well taken care of and sports new new hull paint complementing it's name Black Magic, in 2010. Its Westerbeke 40, had a complete rebuild in 2012 including, heat exchanger, raw water hoses and injection elbow, thermostat and pressure cap, new fuel lines, fuel filters and impeller. New fuel tank, new exhaust system, rebuilt whaler gusher, and new Rule automatic bilge pump...and the list goes on.
If a budget minded Blue Water cruiser is in your sights, come take a look.
