“Ruah” has had three owners and always resided on the cold, clean, freshwaters of Lake Michigan.
Built by Ericson Yachts in Santa Anna, California
Designed by Bruce King
A very popular cruising yacht, sloop rigged with Harken roller furling headsail.
With new decks and cabin top, a rebuilt engine and chain plates, "Ruah" is a good family boat with a decent sail inventory that sails well. She offers lots of opportunity for family fun at a very affordable price.
The interior has the warmth and richness of varnished mahogany. The soft, white vinyl headliner adds a degree of sound and thermal insulation. Four window panes, five fixed ports, one opening port, two deck hatches and the companionway provide excellent natural light. There is a good mix of DC & AC lighting to illuminate the teak and holly cabin sole.
The forward cabin has a comfortable V berth, storage shelves over, drawers and bins below.
The head compartment is reasonably roomy, and has good storage. There is a cabinet under the sink, and a locker outboard. There is also a large, tall locker next to the electric Crown Head.
The salon’s port dinette table drops to a double berth. The starboard settee serves as a single berth with storage under, behind, and outboard. The teak interior grab rails make movement below decks safe and secure in a seaway.
The L-shaped galley to starboard has adequate storage, near center line stainless steel sink with pressurized water, large, top load, insulated ice box converted to AC refrigerator, and a four burner CNG stove w/oven.
The forward facing navigation station is to port across from the galley and at the head of the wide quarter berth w/outboard storage shelf
