These 42' Uniflite Convertible models were designed for offshore fishing in all types of weather, and this one is all ready to go out again. Sea-kindly hull design with ample beam, strong and reliable twin Detroit diesel power, and a large aft fishing cockpit that has high bulwarks for safety offshore.
She's had twenty years of excellent mechanical maintenance and service from her previous owner. We've recently addressed minor maintenance and cosmetic issues, thoroughly checked all of her systems.
An enormous open salon of 12' x 10' - this is the rare 'extended salon' model that adds about three feet of length to the salon - and a mid-ship cabin with a queen berth, make her comfortably well suited for extended cruising. Northern Lights/Lugger genset for offshore or anchorage. She's just been deep cleaned from top to bottom inside and out. Her flybridge deck, swim platform and aft cockpit deck have been re-painted with nonskid, her teak trim oiled and her anchor pulpit varnished.

This 42' Uniflite is the 'extended salon' model Convertible sportfisher with increased interior salon area. She was delivered to her original owners in Newport, CA., October 1977.
Her former owner over the past twenty years is a certified Detroit Diesel mechanic, and he performed all of the necessary and routine maintenance to the GM 6-71 engines. We ran the boat up from Tacoma in February. She is mechanically strong, runs very well and is in good service - all ready for your offshore fishing adventures this summer and fall!
There are maintenance and operational manuals for all systems aboard the boat, as well as fuel system and wiring diagrams, and engine room wiring and plumbing schematics. The paperwork from the commissioning as well the original Uniflite owner's manuals are there, too. This in itself is a testament to the care she's received over the years -- and is of benefit to her next owners.
The boat has been deep cleaned inside and out, including having the salon and stateroom carpet professionally cleaned. We have carefully gone through all of her electrical and mechanical systems, too. We've replaced light fixtures, pumps and small motors where needed, cleaned up old wiring while replacing connections as needed, and adding bus bars to simplify some electrical systems. Just generally making certain she is safe and sound in that regard. New exhaust line for the generator and new flybridge overhead lights and aft deck lights were installed.
We are in the process of repainting the aft cockpit and flybridge decks. Weather permitting, we hope to have that job done by the end of April.
With her large aft fishing cockpit, high cockpit bulwarks, outriggers, transom door and swimstep, this would be a fine boat for those who look forward to serious offshore fishing. She also has a good layout and ample space for a liveaboard as well.
