HULL & DECK White hull, red bottom. Hull is painted white with one part epoxy semi-gloss; bottom finished with red ablative antifouling. Fiberglass over 1 1/4" by 1 1/4" strip planked Cedar on white oak frames and structural members. 1" x 1 5/8" steam bent white oak frames. 1 1/2" floor timbers. Hull was sheathed with two layers of fiberglass when new. House is marine grade plywood, on 1 1/4" x 1 1/2" white oak deck beams; housetops are marine grade plywood, sheathed in fiberglass. Decks sheathed with two layers of fiberglass. Full width cockpit with laid and caulked teak decks. Storage lockers under aft deck and side deck, and cockpit deck. Handholds on side decks. S/S ladder with teak treads to flybridge. Bench seat on flybridge with storage under. Full engine and steering controls on flybridge. 6 hatches in cockpit for excellent access. Sacrificial oak keel added to fiberglass bottom. LOD: 43'.
TANKAGE FUEL: 300 gallons in Monel tank. WATER: 90 gallons - in two 30 gallon S/S tanks plus one 30 gallon bladder tank. HOLDING: 6 gallon bladder tank with y-valve.
ENGINE & MECHANICAL In 1997, engine was removed, new oil pan and new starter installed. Single Caterpillar 3208T diesel, 320 hp. Approximately 2200 engine hours as reported on the hour meter. Cruising Speed: 9 knots @ 2100 RPM @ 3.8 gph. Max Speed: 13-14.5 knots @ 2800 RPM 4 bladed prop; 1 7/8" S/S shaft. Spare 4 bladed prop (pitch slightly different). 2:1 reduction gear. Racor fuel filter. Line cage around propeller. PSS dripless shaft seal. Morse engine controls. Oil change pump. Bus heater off engine.
ELECTRICAL 12V/110V systems. 2-8D batteries, new 2013. Heart 1500w inverter/charger. Circuit breaker panels. 130 amp alternator. Xantrex battery monitor. 30 amp shore power connection. 50´ 30 amp shore power cord. Hot water heater.
ACCOMMODATIONS For four or six. Herreshoff style interior with varnished mahogany trim on white bulkheads. Abundance of light and ventilation provided via eight large bronze ports, two large hatches. Chrome lamps over at all berths and settees; overhead lamps. 6'5" headroom in the salon; 6´ 2" below.
OWNER'S STATEROOM: Master stateroom forward with large, wide offset double berth (6´6" x 52"). Nine drawers below berth. To starboard is a small desk with two drawers, along with a locker and shelves. Dressing seat forward of berth. Varnished mahogany storage shelves port and starboard. Varnished mahogany book racks.
GALLEY: (Aft to port of Owner's Stateroom) U-shaped galley. S/S sink with pressure hot and cold water. Force 10 three burner propane stove with oven and S/S steam hood and fan, designed for boiling lobsters. Well-insulated (6" insulation) Sea Frost engine/shore driven refrigeration and freezer boxes. Cast iron wood/charcoal stove forward (for heat or cooking).
MAIN SALON: (Opposite to starboard of Galley) Raised dinette with bench seating with blue cushions, and storage drawers under. Table can be used as a filler to convert dinette into a 6'6" x 50" berth. Two drawers under the raised platform, and two drawers in table. Outboard is additional storage in lockers and shelves.
HEAD: (Forward of Dinette). Enclosed head with manual W.C. and Lectra San unit, with y-valve. Full-length vanity with S/S sink, hot and cold pressure water, and shower attachment. Ensuite shower arrangement which drains to separate sump with pump.
WHEELHOUSE: Up three steps to wheelhouse (storage under steps). Lower helm to starboard with flip-out helm seat, and a large table which stows against bulkhead. Pedestal mounted swivel chair. Several large windows; some are sliding windows; port and starboard windshield windows open. Heater under helmsman's seat. Port side bench pulls out to queen sized berth, large storage drawers under.
ELECTRONICS LOWER HELM: Raytheon 41XX Radar. Furuno GPS 30. Datamarine depthsounder. ICOM M-127 VHF. Ritchie 6" binnacle-mounted compass. Cetrek Autopilot (old unit, but believed to work properly).
