The vessel is a small general cargo launched in 1979 and worked as purse seiner fishing vessel for years.She is now modified as cargo ship. The fish’s holds were modified as cargo holds. The rear fishing hold was modified as an open passenger area. The main single weather deck is equipped with four watertight hatches givenan access to the ship holds.



The hull and deck is built of steel by the shipyard MAE BOTA Shipbuilding & iron works in Japan



Main Deck :

The main deck is structural, and in one level

There are four opening port holes on port side and three on starboard side located

on the rear dead works of the hull.

Main deck forward :

The deck of the forward castle.

The bow is equipped with a single roller device for two anchors.

A stainless steel balcony surrounds the forward castle deck.

Openings on main deck. (forward) :

The cargo hatches giving an access to the cargo holds

Various equipment :

The ship is equipped with a loading boom driven by powerful winches, suitable to load and unload cargoes to or from the ship’s hold



The ship is equipped with a hydraulic /electric windlass, with single wildcat

The ship is equipped with one anchor, left in position on a the roller bow sheaves / 1000 KG paddle anchor with suitable length of chain and cable

All functional and in good condition



The upper deck is supporting the navigational bridge

The entire navigational bridge is steel structure and bulk wards. The fly bridge is fully closed.

In the accommodation (main deck) a scale gives the access to this navigational bridge

The navigational bridge is equipped with a front console supporting the ship commands and navigational equipment

The rear part of the wheel house is composed of a small chart / radio room

Navigational radio navigation & electronics equipments:

- GPS + Chart on display

- Echo sounder

- Radar

- Compass and autopilot




The hydraulic steering gear is controlled from the wheel house located on the wheel house

This hydraulic steering control the orientation of the rudder located behind the propeller

The actuators and connecting rod of the rudders are located in a steering room located on the aft of the engine room



The ship is equipped with Yanmar propulsion diesel engine, 597 KW

The engine is coupled to the propeller shaft and drives a controllable pitch propeller.

Controlable pitch propeller 1650 x 990 m / 4 blades, driven by a NUGATA MGC 500KV gear box.

Stern truster:

The ship is equipped with an hydraulic driven stern thruster.

Two generators YANMAR 3KDL – 63,4KW

Diesel oil tanks:

5 Steel tanks total fuel Capacity 52,7 MT.

Fuel engine is system is fully equipped with a fuel cartridge filtration



The vessel is equipped with a 380V and 220V AC electrical circuit powered by generators or by the shore connexion

The 12 volts DC system is powered by batteries and recharged by engine alternators and charger

2 X 65KVA -12V alternators

3 batteries banks in good condition



The vessel “ Pacific star " is equipped on the main deck with 3 cabins, the captain cabin, a four bunk cabin and a three bunk cabin

The galey is on forward on port side

The separate washroom is equipped with showers and toilets

All the cabins are fully equipped with a normal standard

The kitchen is fully equipped and operative with sink, bench, cooking plates, fridge / freezer and a large table and numerous seats



The main ship holds, which are previously fih’sholds, were fully renewed and are in general good condition

The hatches given the access to these holds are not very large but sufficient for small bagged cargo



There are 2 steel tanks for fresh water for a total capacity of 17, 41 MT.

An electric pump and a pressure switch pressurize all supply

freshwater circuit.

Disposal Circuit for sanitary and kitchen:

The vessel is equipped with a black water circuit fitted with a drain

pump discharging at sea



Fire Detection:

The engine room is equipped

Fire extinguisher systems:

The ship is equipped with a high pressure sea water Fire pump

Four 15 Kg C02 extinguishers

Four ABC power extinguishers

Fire man equipment

Bilge circuit:

The vessel is equipped with a bilge pump with level detection

The bilge circuit is also equipped of a manual bilge pump

Safety equipment:

Life saving equipment is compliant with Vanuatu flag registry
