I have owned “ISHCIA” since 1984 although she was not completed and commissioned at this stage. Prior to commissioning she was epoxy coated with three full coats to the underwater line and one full coat throughout the inside of the bilge. She was finally completed and launched in 1998, where I then cruised her extensively in the Bristol Channel and over to Ireland, the English Channel, France, the Isles of Scilly, the Solent and the South coast.
Throughout our cruising we have found “Ishcia” to be a very comfortable, reliable and safe cruising boat, often much admired when in port. She was awarded the Best in Festival of the Sea in Bristol. Interestingly the Halberdier’s were the first all Glass fibre yachts Built by Moodys from 1967, and the name “ISHCIA” is Greek for peace and tranquillity and good sailing.
