Designed By Peter Brett, the Rival 34 was an extended version of the already very successful Rival 32, the Rival 34 having a a slightly deeper after body and longer overhangs to give steadiness in a seaway.The Rival 34 is a classic cruiser, with an impressive history of long-distance cruising and ocean racing. Accommodation is for five persons in two cabins.
The forward cabin has two single berths in the usual 'V' configuration. This berth will convert into a double with an infill.

The main saloon has two single settee berths. One to port and one to starboard.
A single sea berth is to starboard and just aft of the navigational area with easy access to the companionway steps leading to the cockpit.
The navigation table will accommodate a full sized chart and is located to starboard at the after end of the saloon.
An 'L' shaped galley is to port at the after end of the saloon. Fitted with a two ring gas cooker with grill and oven. Two stainless steel sinks with manual fresh water pump.
The dining area is within the saloon and local to the galley for ease of catering and entertaining. A full crew can be accommodated with ease at the dining table.

All upholstery and soft furnishings are in good order.
The interior woodwork is in good condition for a classic vessel of this vintage.
A Diesel cabin heater is available with the craft but not fitted.
