Corbin 39s are heavily built blue water cruisers designed specifically to take a couple anywhere in the world. About 200 were built, and they can be found all over the world, but are more commonly based on the East Coast and in Canada, as they were built in Quebec, Canada.
Perpetua is one of just a few Corbins located on the West Coast, and, to the best of our knowledge, the only one in Oregon. She is well equipped for blue water cruising and completed a round trip from Portland, Oregon to Hawaii and back during the summer of 2007. The trip to Hawaii was done single handed, with four on board for the return trip.
Perpetua has all the equipment needed for extended cruising, including: New Volvo Engine, Radar, watermaker, SSB radio, VHF radio, EPIRB, Liferaft, Skymate Satellite email system, wind generator, solar panels, self-steering windvane, autohelm, GPS/chart plotter, Walker Bay dinghy and much more. She has four independent water tanks, a good assortment of sails, and lots of extra equipment.
She makes a great liveaboard, with hot & cold pressure water, water source heat pump for heating & air conditioning, 2007 upholstery, and plenty of room & storage.
