Medical necessity has forced the immediate sale of this desirable trawler. Chardonnay is a fine example of a CHB 42. She is well equipped and well maintained, as well as solidly built, seaworthy, economical and reliable.
The owner has just lowered the price to only $67,000, for a quick sale.
"Chardonnay", your front row seat on the Bay berthed at San Francisco’s Pier 39. Your spot at the head of E-Dock puts you five minutes away from the Central Bay. What a great location. You're directly opposite Alcatraz and Angel Islands.
“Chardonnay” is a very economical boat to run. If you decide to motor out to Fleet Week, Opening Day or jump to Sausalito for lunch you will be using less the 2.5 gallons/hr at a 7.5 knot cruise on the renowned 120 Lehman. She has just come out of the yard with a new bottom paint job and zincs.
She has excellent manners at sea based on a well found hull with a very effective, high bow flair, excellent freeboard and a full length keel for directional stability and protection of the prop. She is a safe boat with high full stantion railings all round and 360 degree visibility from the flybridge. This makes her an excellent family boat with superb entertaining capability. She can sleep eight, but entertain up to fifteen with ease.
The expansive flybridge, which features two full-length bench seats that convert to beds, is protected with a new, heavy duty set of canvas that can seat six. This greatly expands the upper deck surface and useful deck area. It’s also warm enough up there to keep the bridge warm during the Bay’s cooler days.
The interior of the Chardonnay is a showplace, finished with the finest teak paneling and cabinetry throughout. She is an excellent representative of the trawler class. She has staterooms Fore&Aft. The Master features a queen center-line berth and a NEW full head with tub shower. The forward cabin carries two double bunks and a full “wet” head.
Chardonnay is in excellent condition. This will become apparent as you tour Chardonnay yourself. You will find a boat that has traveled to Alaska and Mexico, trips for which she is designed and equipped. As you might expect, the engine room is immaculate and reflects the care and maintenance this vessel has received. A 4.5 kw Westerbeke generator in a sound shield and a Freedom 2500 watt Inverter provide ample 110v power while at anchor or underway.
