Caribbean Dream is a single screw double cabin sundeck trawler that has had many upgrades over the years and offers a spacious layout that is very accommodating for two couples. .
She is powered by an exceptionally reliable Ford Lehman 120hp diesel with 1002 hours. The boat has, a two stateroom galley-up layout, aft sundeck and a spacious bridge deck that has just been re-cored and re-finished covered by a blue bimini.
Caribbean Dream is very economically priced since she's structurally sound, however she does not have air conditioning or a bow thruster. She does show some water stain signs in her joinery however, there are no active leaks. She's the perfect size trawler for the couple who wants to live aboard or perhaps fulfill a lifelong desire to cruise.

The Kha Shing 36 was designed by Hargrave Yacht Design and built in Taiwan by Kha Shing Enterprises, who is well known for their fine finishes and continue to build large yachts today of over 100 feet. Caribbean Dream makes boarding easy on the starboard side where the sidedecks lead forward to the sealed teak deck. The teak handrail and stanchions provide exceptional safety while moving about.
Going aft on the starboard side there is side door access to the cabin and by stepping up two steps you are on the spacious sundeck. Up three steps is the bridge deck and helm affording excellent visibility. There is access from the sundeck down a ladder tot the swim platform.
The interior of the Caribbean Dream has very spacious and comfortable accommodations since the forward and aft cabins both have cleverly designed and unique sleeping arrangements offering the maximum amount of living space.
The aft cabin features a queen sized berth that is set askew which provides easy access on both sides. Adjacent to port, there is a generous amount of storage with a large hanging locker, drawers, and bureaus. Opposite to stbd. there is a large corner upholstered settee and just forward of the settee there is a traditional chart table.
The ensuite head compartment is just forward of the chart table in the aft cabin also to stbd. and has an oversized shower inboard with a large vanity and toilet outboard. There is a generous amount of natural light and cross-ventilation from the opening ports.
A few steps up from the aft cabin the fully equipped galley runs forward on the starboard side to the door to the side-deck. The lower helm with a full set of controls and instrumentation is at the very forward end of the galley directly in front of the stbd. side door.
The salon which has the galley to starboard is also very bright and airy with "L" shaped bench seating to port; a large dining table, barrel chair, and outboard server. The teak and holly sole accented with with a blue scatter rug imparts the traditional trawler ambiance.
Moving forward and down a few steps is the forward guest cabin. Immediately to port is the forward head compartment with a shower and full sized vanity. The full length queen berth is offset to port and the cabin is further complimented with a hanging locker, below berth storage, drawers and bureaus.
Caribbean Dream's galley is up and runs the full length of the starboard side aft from the side deck door to the inside corner of the aft bulkhead. It's very nicely arranged with storage cabinets and a generous amount of countertop space. The upright Norcold fridge has plenty of storage with a freezer compartment.

The Caribbean Dream's fiberglass hull is in good condition and accented with a blue sheer stripe. The foredeck has an overlay of teak which has been sealed and an anchor platform with a 35lb CQR anchor, 3/4" nylon anchor rode, manual windlass, and fenders in s/s racks to lessen the chores of anchoring or docking.
Her hand rails and bulwark caprails are finished with Cetol which unlike varnish can be easily spot repaired.
The wide fiberglass non-skid side decks, hand rails and gates lead up two steps to the aft sundeck with a hatch. The bridge is accessed up a short ladder from the sundeck to the upper helm station which is covered by a blue bimini. The sundeck surface is a white non-skid with an escape hatch from the aft cabin and the bridge deck was re-cored in 2015.
Aft, the stern is equipped with a swim platform, swim ladder, and a s/s ladder with handrails from the swim platform up to the aft sundeck which is great for those who want to be in the sun.
