A Frayed Knot is a very clean and well maintained Hatteras motor yacht that was extended from a classic 61’ to a dynamic 70’ beauty. It was never sold as a 61, being transformed into a 70’custom cruising yacht prior to its initial sale.
While maintaining all the features of the popular standard 61, the customization added more room in the salon and a custom aft deck with walk around on both sides that lead to a cockpit and swim platform. Also 600 gallons of fuel and a 32kw genset are aft.

Walkthrough
A Frayed Knot can be entered from either side via the pilothouse or from the aft deck thru a custom centerline clear plexiglass door. From the pilothouse, forward and below deck is a portside open area featuring a custom desk with work space and file storage, the perfect place for a computer. Adjacent is a guest stateroom with over-and-under berths and a private head with pan shower.
Continuing forward, the guest stateroom in the bow also offers over-and-under berths and private head & stall shower. The upper berth was enlarged and possibly can sleep two.
Aft and down a few steps from the Pilothouse stairway is a laundry facility, starboard, with a new Bosch washer & dryer, plenty of storage for supplies, and a linen locker. Just beyond is the head and stall shower for the 3rd guest stateroom which is across the hall and features twin berths. Going further aft, the hallway passes between twin engine rooms and opens into the full beam master stateroom with large, centerline king berth, a two-person settee, an ensuite head & shower and an oversized walk-in closet.
Returning to the main deck pilothouse: Aft is a large galley and U-shaped dinette. Further is the large salon appointed with a dining table for 6, a stand-behind wet bar with commercial ice maker, and two facing sofas with a cocktail table between. The aft centerline door leads to the large aft deck with a table and chairs and access to the cockpit.
