Another Amel hits our books and this is a good opportunity to enter the cruising life with an Amel at a very affordable price. Pegasus is a thoroughbred blue water cruiser from the renowned Amel yard. It is a practical and well thought out design with innovative sea berths and a water tight bulkhead door.
The yacht has had liveabords for much of its life and has been well maintained. The boat has its original gelcoat but the decks, while in sound condition, are looking tired and may now require maintenance.
Pegasus has cruised in remote locations and carries an extensive inventory of spares including injectors (serviced), sea water pump, Sta lock terminals, ss ironmongery many filters etc. Also tools for just about any job.
Having been cruising for the last twelve years, the present owners now have commitments at home in the UK and are therfore looking for new owners to continue her journey. They will return to hand over and fully demonstrate the yacht.
In the saloon, there is L-shaped seating around a table which has a hinged extension on the port side, and a removable extension for the starboard side. The central part of the table has a cupboard below with stowage for bottles and glasses, and 4 drawers at the galley end. The table can be removed to gain access to the compartments of the water tank. There are cupboards on both sides of the saloon, and storage under the settees and behind their backrests. There is also storage in the dry bilges on either side of the table.
The saloon has an overhead Lewmar hatch, and fixed windows on each side.
On the starboard side of the companionway, the nav area has a full sized chart table which hinges for access to space for charts etc. below. Storage areas include a cupboard, drawer, and shelf below the table.

Saloon berths. A double berth can be made from the port settee by folding out an extension on the under-seat locker. On the starboard side the settee backrest folds down to provide a full size single berth or alternatively the same backrest swings to make a sea berth.

The yacht's AC system is 240 VAC, shore power inlet and cable, MAGTRONIS battery charger, and various outlets throughout the yacht. WAECO PP1002 (1000W) inverter and a VICTRON PHOENIX Pure Sine 180 watt inverter.
DC system is 12VDC. House bank is 4 x 90 amp wet cell batteries. Two 80 amp engine start batteries.
DC charging from three solar panels totalling 350 watts regulated by a FLEXICHARGE NC25A controller, KISS wind generator, unregulated, two VALEO engine alternators, 70 amp house bank (INCHARGE 3 stage alternator charger with MAGNETRONIC DCC4000E house battery monitor) 30 amp engine bank internally regulated and VALEO 30 amp shaft alternator, internall regulated.
