Built to Lloyds approved standards in 1984 the Westerly Konsort has a reputation for solid construction and excellent, safe sea keeping qualities.
Constructed in hand laid GRP to a thickness rarely seen on modern production yachts she has a white hull and coachroof with all tread areas finished in an attractive light blue non slip surface. Security on deck is enhanced by stainless steel pull-pit and push-pit connected by twin guard wires with stainless stanchions and wooden handrails.
Deep self-draining cockpit protected by sprayhood, transom hung rudder and boarding ladder. Bilge keels allow for drying moorings and shallow water exploration.
Powered by the original Bukh 20hp inboard diesel driving a 3 bladed fixed propeller. The engine has been serviced annually with additional maintenance as required.
Twin 12 volt batteries provide engine start and domestic power - charged via alternator or battery charger. Shore power connection is fitted.
Bermuden sloop with deck stepped Kemp alloy mast and spars supported by stainless steel wire standing rigging.
The slab reefing mainsail and roller reefing genoa are said to be in good condition, having been serviced each year. The mainsail has a sail cover and the genoa a UV strip.
The Konsort can comfortably accommodate 6 people and has 6ft headroom in the saloon. On entering the saloon to port is the chart table and access to the large quarter berth which makes a good pilot berth when under way. To starboard is the galley with gas oven, 2 burner hob and grill, stainless steel sink with manually pumped cold water an ice box and storage.
Moving forward the saloon has two settee / berths either side of a central table with drop leaves and bottle storage built in. The port settee converts to make a comfortable double berth. There is a good range of storage in lockers both open to view and hidden beneath the seating.
Forward again to port is the heads compartment with sea toilet with sliding wash basin over. Opposite the heads is a good sized hanging locker. The bow cabin has a twin / double V berth with storage under.
Heating is by electric fan heater.
