Accommodation
The accommodation offers up to seven berths in two cabins. Forward cabin with V berths, with infill converting to a double berth. Storage above and below. Opening hatch to foredeck (2015). Solar vent. Heads compartment to port with Lavac sea toilet with holding tank. Vanity unit with sink, with pull-out H&C shower. Solar vent. Settee berth to starboard with storage above and below. U shaped dinette to port, with table converting to a double berth and navigators seat. Navigation area aft to port. Galley opposite to starboard side with stainless steel sink with h&c water supply. Force 10 2 burner cooker with oven and grill, cool box with compressor. Generous storage. Walk through to aft cabin with hanging lockers and opening port. Built by Colvic Craft Ltd in 1986 to a design by Ian Anderson. White grp hull and coachroof with beige treadmaster to side decks and coach roof. Twin keels with encapsulated ballast. Teak coach roof grab rails. Wheel steering to skeg hung rudder. Self draining centre cockpit. Self draining anchor well. Hull epoxied below the waterline in 2007
Comments
The Colvic Countess 33 is a sturdy centre cockpit cruiser with spacious accommodation for up to seven in two cabins. This particular example is the sloop rigged, bilge keel version. She has been well maintained in her current ownership with a continual programme of upgrade and improvement including a major refit in 2006/7 which included a new engine, rewire & electronics, new shaft and stern gland in 2014 and more recently new windows, head linings, hatches and standing rigging in 2015/16.
