SAFE AND TRUSTWORTHY YACHT!
A MOTORSAILER, LIKE THE SEAMASTER, WITH THE COMBINATION OF VERY GOOD SAILING ATTRIBUTES AND EXTENDED PERFORMANCE UNDER POWER, IS A RARE COMBINATION.
The Seamaster 46, a Robert Perry designed motorsailer, was built by the Lien Hwa Boat Yard in Taiwan to be extremely strong and very blue-water capable. The workmanship throughout is very good. This boat can sail well, upwind and down, with a rig that emphasizes ease of handling and she has the added advantages of offering protected inside steering as well as an engine capable of maintaining hull speed at very comfortable RPM levels. Perry’s design was ahead of its time. He erred on the side of her being a sailboat with a modified classic Perry hull sporting fuller aft sections to improve motoring ability. Hull volume provides enough tankage for both fuel and water to make her a worthy long-range yacht. The interior is bright, airy and spacious.
Kokopelli has been nicely maintained and would make an excellent choice both for extended offshore cruising as well as a great live-aboard.

The interior of the boat is a varnished light ash giving the vessel a bright and airy feel. Trim is solid teak. There are 75 storage compartments throughout the vessel, making it ideal as a live-aboard or for extensive cruising. This vessel’s incredible storage is not found in newer vessels.
Starting forward, there is a VIP cabin featuring an offset double berth to port. Opposite to starboard is a large hanging locker and ample storage in multiple drawers, cabinets, and cubbies.
Moving just aft to port, there is a large enclosed head with separate stall shower. Opposite the head is a large pantry/hanging locker.
Moving up two steps, you enter the spacious and airy main salon/pilothouse with the lower helm to starboard and a U-shaped galley to port. Aft of the galley is a convertible U-shaped dinette. A single settee and Nav station below is on the starboard side. The entire pilothouse features 270 degree visibility from standing or seated positions.
Moving aft and centerline in the pilothouse, you can access the center cockpit by going up three steps. Or, you can step down two steps on the starboard side to enter the large aft owner’s stateroom. This cabin features a centerline, walk-around double berth to starboard with an enclosed head and shower beyond. There are two large hanging lockers and numerous storage lockers and drawers in the aft owner’s cabin.
From the owner’s cabin, moving aft and up two steps leads to the spacious aft cockpit with two teak deck chairs and cocktail table. Forward of the aft cockpit and up three steps provides additional access to the enclosed center cockpit.
The forward head has a Masterflush macerating electric head (2008)
The aft cabin has a Wilcox Crittenden Skipper II toilet replaced in 2007
The overboard waste discharge pumps were upgraded to Dometic SeaLand T-12 diaphragm pumps that can run dry without any damage. Y valves allow waste to be directed to on board waste tanks or directed overboard for offshore use
All faucets and shower attachments in the boat have been replaced and upgraded
Aft head shower not hooked up
Cockpit shower installed 2013
Both heads have separate shower sumps and a separate air conditioning condesate sump w/pumps & float switches
The boat contains 2 (220 gallon) diesel tanks for a total of 440 gallons of diesel
The boat carries 4 (75 gallon) water tanks for a total of 300 gallons of water
Tank Tenders monitor the water level in each of the 4 water tanks and each of two fuel tanks
There is a 35 gallon custom holding tank forward under the berth (2008) and a 15 gallon aft holding tank under the aft berth
An electric indicator system displays the level of fluid in both holding tanks
Fuel: Starboard tank - full, Port tank – 140 gal (Total – 360 gal, New in April 2016)
As the tanks are fiberglass, there is never a concern the tanks will have to be replaced
