1985 Niagara Encore 35
"Eagles Wings" is being offered for sale by her owners of 24 years! A true testament to the virtues of this beautiful cruising design that will also surprise you with her performance under sail. Built by Hinterhoeller Yachts and designed by Mark Ellis. This 'Encore' version of the NIAGARA 35, introduced in 1984, is the same hull and sail plan, with a new interior. It includes a large double berth forward, separated from the main saloon by a head and shower. A u-shaped galley is located to port next to the companionway, with a quarterberth and nav station to starboard.

|George Hinterhoeller, a co-founder of C&C Yachts, took a number of former C&C employees, and started his own firm at St-Catherines, Ontario in 1977.|
The 62,000 sq. ft. plant was designed especially for boat-building.
During it's period of operation, the firm engaged the design talents of Mark Ellis for the more cruising oriented NIAGARA 35, 26, 30, 36 and 22. German Frers was commissioned to design the more racing oriented NIAGARA 31 and F-3.
In 1986, Hinterhoeller transferred production of a number of his boats to Halman Manufacturing Company in Beamsville, Ontario.
The Hinterhoeller trademark lost its legal protection as of 1998.
The first NIAGARA 35 was shown at the 1978 Toronto International Boat Show. About half of the 260 hulls built by Hinterhoeller Yachts at the St. Catharines Ont. plant went to the U.S.

She is powered with a four-cylinder, diesel, Westerbeke. The bowsprit was extended in 1985.

Dodger and Bimini with full enclosure, 2-Blade PYI Max Feathering prop, Electric Anchor Windlass with controls in cockpit and foredeck, CQR, Bruce and Danforth anchors, Petit ablative anti-fouling bottom paint over barrier coat, (7) Jack Stands.
