The Moody 346 is a centre cockpit cruiser of huge popularity in recent and past years. Designed by Bill Dixon and produced in the Marine Projects yard at Plymouth she provides good accommodation for six with a spacious aft cabin, saloon and fore cabin. This Moody 346 has been well looked after and has benefited from recent upgrades to instrumentation and other important areas. Clean and tidy and in current use she is ready for you.
Standard "V" berth configuration forward but with an infill to allow conversion to good sized double berth. Lots of handy storage in this area in cupboards and lockers for all personal clothing etc. The main bulkhead forms the aft end of this cabin with a door set to port side that leads to the saloon. Here is a centrally mounted table which incorporates the mast compression post and seating around it in "U" shaped style to starboard and single settee berth to port. The aft end of this berth serves as a seat at the aft facing chart table at which the switch panel and controls are arranged. Aft of this on the port side is the heads compartment. A GRP lined compartment with sea toilet (new in 2013 along with all pipes), wash hand basin and shower (new handset in 2013 and new pump unit in 2015). Good storage is also found in here for personal gear. Opposite to starboard the galley area is situated behind the "U" shaped saloon seating. Incorporating stainless steel sinks, with a new Whale hand pump (as backup to the pressurised hot and cold system), two burner grill and oven cooker (New 2013) and large fridge compartment (New compressor and plates in 2013). This area, with plenty of storage for utensils and vitals, extends aft below the cockpit coaming to the aft cabin. In the aft cabin is seating, a large double berth, a wash hand basin and again all the storage cupboards, wardrobes and lockers needed.
Throughout the boat there is hot and cold pressurised water, Webasto blown air heating system, 240 volt mains power electrics which includes bar heaters permanently mounted in each cabin. The heating system and all the 240 volt systems are recently new fittings.
Upholstery and other soft furnishings have been replaced as has all the 12 volt wiring.
The main engine is easily accessed through a large removable panel down the starboard side of the engine room. This gives full access to the engine and all other machinery, pumps etc mounted in this space. There is a new (2013) Fireblitz clean agent auto extinguisher fitted in this space.
The engine is a freshwater cooled Thornycroft T80, 4 cylinder diesel marine inboard engine rated at 35Hp. A new gearbox was fitted in 2015. Standard shaft drive, the shaft is fitted with an Ambassador Marine rope stripper / cutter and a 3 blade Bruntons Autoprop. (both new 2015)
New control cables (Gear and Throttle) were fitted in 2013
Electrical circuits are supplied by two 110Ah 12 volt batteries. There is also a 240 volt AC ring main circuit which includes a battery charger (Sterling Power unit replaced recently), water heater, and various 13Amp sockets positioned in each of the cabins .
The batteries, isolator switches and wiring have been replaced in the current ownership.
Lighting within the engine space and adjacent cockpit locker has been replaced recently (2013)
All standing rigging is stainless steel.
Single spreader with baby stay rig.
Mainsail and genoa both new in 2013 by Saturn Sails. There is a lazy jack and bag system for storage of the mainsail. Also 2013 by Saturn Sails
Main, genoa halyards and topping lift all renewed in 2013 At the same time all mast wiring was replaced with new and the new deck / steaming light and new LED Tricolour lights were fitted.
New backstay with Selden tensioner.

Gas safety:- Flexible hose and cutoff valve renewed in 2013. Gas alarm fitted new at same time.

Below deck fitted at the same time is a Smart TV and DVD system with an Android box which allows conection to the Raymarine system and has the screen acting as a repeater to the external plotter.

It's clear that this craft went through a major refit when bought by the existing owner. As can be seen in the preceding descriptions most of the equipment, wiring and fittings were overhauled and replaced at that time.
