From the stern the craft features a spacious rear deck which is covered and enclosed by canopies supported on Stainless steel rails. The side decks are surrounded by steel stanchions with varnished wooden capping's with centrally located access points to port and starboard. To the aft the bathing platform is accessed via a steel ladder. There are also hand rails to the cabin tops. All decks are painted in non-slip paint. The forward deck is a safe flat working area and fitted with a electrically assisted anchor winch. All cabin tops are excellent for lounging and the windscreen is in 5 sections which fold for navigation beneath low bridges. Access to the cabins is by a side door both to port and starboard and a further door from the Rear deck. The exterior helm is centrally located with repeater controls for the engine. A large storage box with cushions gives space for two to be seated at the helm, there is a plenty of further space for loose seating. A Twin tubed Stainless steel goalpost arch has facilities for navigational options and folds with assistance of gas rams
FORWARD CABIN / DINETTE
This area of “Duchess” is open plan to the saloon and features a circular sofa with centrally located table around which 4 can be seated in comfort for dining. Good natural light is gained by the all surrounding windows. The seating area has a facility to convert to a double berth with infill boards and cushions. A small overhead hatch offers ventilation with an escape hatch being located on the forward deck over the shelving which surrounds the entire seating area. Storage is under the base cushions and in a ¾ height wardrobe to port.
Located to the starboard side of the craft, featuring a laminate worktop with cupboards below and sliding fromted cupboards behind. Fitted with Oven and grill, three burner stainless steel gas hob, fridge and stainless steel sink and drainer, Fridge with icebox.
Sited to port opposite the galley with a marine manual flush toilet, inset sink, large vanity surface, good natural light via the large side window and ample storage below the surfaces.
The saloon features the interior helm forward with all main controls and navigational instrumentation. To port with access to the port side deck aft of the helm with removable steps allowing for a helm seat to be sited if required for longer passages (not supplied).Aft again a single storage unit with space over for a television and then 6 steps in curved design to the rear deck. A sofa of u shape design with ample storage below the seating is opposite to starboard, giving seating for 5 in comfort. The base cushion being removable to give access to the starboard side cabin door. Access to the Open plan forward accommodation and aft cabin is by 3 steps forward and aft.
The aft cabin is laid out with a stern situated double berth accessed from one side with a bedside unit forward and an inset shelf aft giving storage to both sides of the berth, a ¾ wardrobe aft, and a double ¾ wardrobe to starboard. To port the aft heads are located to port with sink and electric flush to starboard, this is also a large wet room shower compartment with sink & stowage. The aft cabin and wet room are of very good dimensions for a boat of this size and feature tremendous natural light by the seven surrounding windows
The engine space is located beneath the main saloon floor, it is all very tidy and with a fully primed and painted bilge. Access is easy all around the engine and gained by raising the floorboards in the saloon. The engine has benefitted from a continual maintenance program carried out by reputable marine engineers with bills available.
