Pearson 31 MK II just listed! Like the other boats this owner has owned she has been kept in impeccable condition (we have handled the sale of three prior boats for him). Recent upgrades and work include removing and re-bedding all stanchions and toe rails and a new bimini all done in 2014. If you want to own the nicest Pearson 31 out there this is the one! Our best estimate is that if you looked at 20 sisterships this boat would literally be in the best condition of any of them, the owner is very fastidious about his maintainenece.
The Pearson 31 MK II affords accommodations for up to seven in a single stateroom configuration. Plenty of natural light and ventilation with four large fixed ports, five opening ports and one large and two smaller hatches as well as two Dorade vents. With extensive varnished teak joiner work and varnished teak and holly sole, she is both warm and inviting as well as bright and airy. When one wishes to extend the season or take the chill off on a foggy morning, there is a propane cabin heater.
Starting forward is the generous V-Berth with filler with "bin type" storage below and full length storage shelves above. There is additional storage for clothing in bureaus aft and to port.
Next aft to starboard is the enclosed head with manual W.C. plumbed via Y-Valve to the holding tank. One piece laminate vanity top and sink with H&C pressure water with telephone type faucet doubles as the shower attachment for the ensuite shower and drains to a separate sump with pump.
The main salon features and L-Settee to starboard which may be made out into a double berth should occasion require and straight settee to port. There is excellent storage behind the seat backs and in lockers and shelves above. Dining is from the varnished teak drop leaf table.
The U-Shaped Galley is aft and to port. The galley on the Pearson 31 is especially generous for this sized boat with excellent counter space, stowage in lockers, dry bin stowage, and drawers, Tosco 2 burner gimbaled propane stove with oven, stainless sink with H&C pressure water. Opposite the galley is the Nav. Station with large, well insulated" ice box" fitted with engine driven Sea Frost refrigeration, below. Aft of which is a very generous quarter berth with storage shelf over.
The interior has been kept very fresh with updated salon upholstery, periodic re-varnishing of the cabin sole, fiddles and door frames etc.
