Designed by Bill Dixon of Angus Primrose Ltd. Built by Marine Projects in 1989 – launched 1990. SSR registered.
White GRP hull with sugar scoop transom, cast iron external twin bilge keels, partial skeg hung rudder with wheel steering and emergency tiller. Underwater surfaces epoxied from new.
White GRP deck, superstructure and self-draining centre cockpit with grey moulded-in non-slip surfaces. Internal GRP mouldings with varnished teak internal joinery. New decals in 2015. Laminate surfaces in galley area.
Thorneycroft T80 4 cylinder 35hp diesel. Closed circuit cooling. Reversing reduction gearbox and shaft driven 3 bladed propeller. Single lever control, electric start. New Volvo Penta Shaft Seal. Volvo stern gland and propellor shaft replaced 2013. New Volvo Penta shaft seal, Cutlass Bearing. New Axion propeller 2014. Fuel pump reconditioned 2014. Raw water alarm, impeller housing.
Cruising 5.5 knots. Max 6.5 knots.
12 volt system - 2 x 100 ah domestic and 1 x 80ah engine batteries wired to distribution panel and charged by engine driven alternator or battery charger through shore power. Smart charging system with inverter. Interior and navigation lights inc bow, stern, steaming, deck and masthead tri-white.
240 volt system – Shore power cable and connection,ring main with outlets, marine battery charger and immersion heater in calorifier tank.
Deck stepped masthead sloop. Kemp silver anodised mast, slab reefing boom – 2 x reefs, with lazyjacks and telescopic spinnaker pole. Furlex furling headsail system. Rod kicker. 1 x 19 s/steel wire standing rigging – age unknown, possibly original. Terylene running rigging including spinnaker gear. mostly replaced in last 4 years.
2 x Lewmar 40 Genoa sheet winches, self tailing.
3 x Lewmar 7 halyard & 1 x L6 reefing winches at mast

Separate head to port with wash basin, h&c pressure water, shower, teak shower grating, manual sea toilet and storage lockers.
Galley to starboard leading in to walk through to aft cabin with 2 x s/steel sinks, h&c pressure water, 12v fridge, gimballed Plastimo Neptune 2000 two burner gas cooker with oven and grill, good stowage and hanging locker by aft cabin.

Aft cabin with good size double berth to port, wash basin with hot &cold pressure water supply, L shaped settee and Wardrobe.

The Moody 346 is well known for her good looks and spacious interior. A good all round shallow draft cruising yacht.
