This custom-built Friendship Sloop was built by one of the best builders of classic wooden boats, the Ralph Stanley Yard in Southwest Harbor, Maine. She has been well maintained, gently sailed, and is in very good condition. She has been stored inside winters. Her efficient electric engine is unique and provides enough power to cruise at 3-4 knots, which is helpful in maneuvering dockside and in and out of the harbor. Replacement cost of the boat would be close to $100K. Summer Joy is a beautiful example of Maine-built craftsmanship.
