Sundeck Trawlers like the Hyatt 37 are noted for their spacious accommodations. There are actually 3 living areas that are usable to entertain guests or just lounge around aboard. The Sundeck itself, the fly bridge and the salon.
The Sundeck is on the deck level and the main entrance to the salon (down) and the fly bridge (up). There is plenty of room for table and chairs plus the Sundeck galley area with sink and fridge. There is also access to the swim platform aft.
The Fly Bridge area is the helm but also seating on both sides in an enclosure for weather.
And the salon has seating on an oversized custom L shaped sofa and room for extra chairs.
A walk thru of the interior starts at the companionway stairs on the Sundeck. Down the stairs is the Salon and TV area. Forward down another stair is the galley and the fwd cabin. Aft of the stairs and down another step in the entrance to the huge aft master cabin.
The fwd cabin is a semi-Pullman with a large head/shower ensuite with electric flush.
The aft cabin has a centerline queen berth with equal access to both sides. Teak cabinetry abounds and the look belies the size of the boat. The owner's head is also electric and includes a separate shower.
There are two 16k btu a/c units to control the interior temperature. The interior also features a built in vacuum system.
The layout has the galley down amid ship. It is compact but very functional with a full size refrigerator and freezer (new), 3 burner electric stove top, under cabinet toaster oven and microwave (new). There is a lot of cabinet storage for dinner ware and pantry items.
Magic has twin Caterpillar Model 3208 engines accessible thru a door at the galley steps or by removing floor panels in the salon. The genset is also in the same area. Current hours in the Hobbs meters show about 1750 hours. A Glendening throttle synchronizing controls are located at the helm station on the fly bridge.
The owner maintains a rigorous service program and has recently replaced cooling water hoses.
The electric AC system has two 3110V 30A shore power cords and is supported by a Westerbeke 8KW diesel generator to run the ship away from the dock. The current Hobs meter reading is about 1700 hours.
The 12V DC side is powered by 2 x 4D hengine/house batteries and a separate Group 24 as a generator start battery.
Batteries are charged by the twin engine alternators and a Mastervolt charger for 110V operation.
The electronics package is located at the fly bridge helm station. It has a Uniden UM525 VHF at the helm. GPS and chart plotter systems are also positioned at the helm.
The main upgrade to the deck and cockpit area was a recent refinish of the gelcoat with new Awlgrip in two tone color over the non-skid. The new finish gives her a new, shiny look of a new boat.
The anchor platform was recently replaced and holds a large plow anchor with chain/rope rode. A Lofrans electric windlass controls the anchor. The anchor platform was recently rebuilt and stronger that the original.
The sundeck includes a small sink and icemaker along and is protected by a full enclosure.
Dingy storage is topside on the hardtop with a 300# Manuel lift.
