The Doughdish is a fiberglass reproduction of the original Herreshoff 12 1/2 footer. It is constructed in foam sandwich fiberglass with teak trim. It is built to the exact hull dimensions and rig of the sloops designed by N. G. Herreshoff in 1914. As a result they are able to compete against the wooden boats in class races and regattas.
It is a comfortable and easy daysailer, and a wonderful boat for teaching someone to sail.
Doughdish No. 325 was built by Edey and Duff of Mattapoisett, MA in 1993. She is in good condition and would make an excellent option for daysailing and racing. The varnish brightwork is in solid condition and the bottom is fair. The sale includes: two sets of sails (main, jib and spinnaker) – one in serviceable condition and one in need of repair, a cockpit cover, mainsail cover and jib cover. This sale DOES NOT include a trailer or cradle.
Doughdish 325 can be view by appointment only. Contact us for more information.
