The Offshore 58 Pilothouse features a solid hand-laminated fiberglass hull with epoxy barrier coat, and hand-laminated fiberglass deck and superstructure. All Offshore yachts feature well thought-out details such as covered walkaround decks for maximum safety and comfort as well as window frames, doors, and hatches made of gelcoated fiberglass so they can't corrode like aluminum or rot like wood. Offshore hull design features a generous beam and finely veed and deep forefoot that gradually tapers to a 12-degree deadrise at the transom. This design produces a hull that is quick to get on plane and knifes cleanly through waves and chop throughout the speed range.
The 3 stateroom, 2 head arrangement provides lots of living and entertaining space as well as privacy for cruising with friends or family. Down curving stairs from the pilothouse give access to the VIP stateroom forward and the second stateroom to port.
The VIP stateroom features a queen berth on centreline, port and starboard hanging lockers and drawers and an ensuite head with stall shower. With the flare of the hull and the abundance of opening ports and hatches this cabin has a bright and open feel.
VIP Stateroom features include:
Second Stateroom features include:
The forward cabins share a head which is arranged as an ensuite head to the VIP stateroom that can also be accessed from the companionway. The head includes a vacuflush toilet, vanity with sink and separate stall shower.
The Pilothouse has access doors on both sides and helm on centreline with helm and companion pedestal chairs. To starboard is a wet bar with below counter fridge, sink and storage and to port is a L-shaped settee with custom triangular teak table that will comfortably seat four. This area provides excellent all-weather viewing while underway or at anchor.
Companionway access from the forward starboard end of the main salon leads to the master stateroom and the attached ensuite head. The stateroom features an athwartship king size bed with two large hanging lockers and louvre front cupboards as well as a vanity table/computer table and drawers.
Master Ensuite Head
The galley is located at the forward end of, and is open to, the main salon. The counters enable easy pass through to the main salon table or to the pilothouse table. The forward counter area includes under counter fridge and freezer as well as the stove and oven. The aft counter takes in the sink, compactor and cupboards of pantry storage. The area is well ventilated and enjoys light from salon and pilothouse windows.
The main salon has a custom Hi-Lo table that converts from a coffee table to a full size dining table for larger groups. The U-shaped settee and loose chairs enable seating for 8 people. When in coffee table mode the salon provides great seating for viewing the entertainment system. If extra sleeping accommodation is required the table can be dropped down to make a queen berth of the settee.
The entertainment system includes a flat screen TV on custom disappearing mount that can be watched by raising the TV to counter top height or by opening the cabinet doors. The system includes HDTV and DVD systems with surround sound.
With the windows on both sides and opening doors to the cockpit this area provides a comfortable living room from which you can enjoy the scenery while at dock or anchor. The covered side walkways ensure the windows are dry and clean and enable air circulation even on wet days.
The salon opens directly onto the aft cockpit for great light, ventilation and access. The cockpit provides access to the dock via the transom door and swim grid and to the foredeck via covered walkways to port and starboard. The overhang of the upper deck affords some protection from rain or sun. There is a cockpit helm station to starboard which is useful for fishing or close quarters docking.
Up the companionway from the pilothouse is the command bridge, which features pompanette helm and companion pedestal seats, lounge seating with two Hi-Lo tables, a bimini top for protection from sun or rain, a wet bar with beverage fridge and freezer and access to the tender storage deck.
A well thought through arrangement for weekend or distance cruising with the privacy of 3 staterooms as well as many areas for lounging, dining and entertaining with small or large numbers. Well built and finished and loaded for PNW or Alaska to Mexico cruising.
