Vessel powered by twin Cummins, fresh water cooled inboard diesels. These 180hp units are fitted with Newage reduction gearboxes driving stainless steel shafts and 3 bladed bronze propellers. Twin helm positions with gauges at both helms. Visual and audible warnings for high temperature, oil pressure and charging. Engines start first time at the start of a button and are designed to run at low revs all day every day. This boat is comfortable and economical at 12-14 knots. Fuel capacity is 500 litres per side giving plenty of range.
12/220V system with dedicated engine start and leisure batteries. These are recharged via the engine alternators or by the snart charge battery system on board. There is a 6Kva generator with its own battery and tank providing domestic energy if moored in remote or unserviced locations. The wiring on board is excellent and the distribution panel a thing to be admired. No expense has been spared in the fitting out of this craft.
Although the hull was laid up in 1998, she wasnt completed ready for launch until 2003. The hull is heavy layup GRP with moulded spray strakes which increas grip and defect water at low and high speeds. The cockpit is deep giving a great senx se of security. The topsides are predominately white but with a deep navy blue band that runs from the hull to deck join increasing in deprth as it goes aft so that the transom area is completely blue. GRP bathing platform with inbuilt teak grate allows easy access to the cockpit. The cockpit isteslf is teak topped GRP and has been recently finished in varnish with non slip additive. Reaching the foredeck is achieved by the walkways port and starboard of the wheelhouse. The foredeck and walkways are finished in grey non slip panels. The guard rails are unique in that they area sries of individual sections. This allows a section to be replaced easily if any damage were to occur. Large self bailing anchor locker with electric windlass.
Access to the flybridge is via a stainless steel ladder. Once above there is a dedicated helm seat with GRP dashboard and perspex spray dodger. There are three additional seats aft which have removable padding for comfort. Stainless steel radar arch with dome and navigation lights. Windscreen wipers to lower helm, Deck floodlight and horn.
Large, spacious accomodation entered from the cockpit via toughened glass sliding doors. Either door slides giving the option of which to open. Interior is carpeted with new carpet runner added to upper saloon and stairs in May 2016. The interior wood is a combination of teak and mahogany stained veneer on marine ply with solid teak edging pieces. The upholstery is "Jaguar Green" leather over foam and is in saloon, helm seat and the convertable dinette. upholstered seating area on port side which can double as a single berth. Sideboard unit opposite with TV. Below is a computer with large flat screen monitor.
Raised helm position to starboard with an extremely comfortable, electrically adjustable helm seat. Large padded dash with instrumentation for engines and navigation aids flush mounted above.
Three steps down to galley on port side. This area features a 12V fridge with seperate ice compartment, microwave oven, 2-burner electric hot plate and moulded sink with hot and cold pressurised water. Plentiful storage for provisions, cutlery and crockery. 12V lighting, 220V sockets and opening port for ventilation.
Opposite the galley is a dinette with central table and upholstered seating. This area converts to a spacious double berth with privacy curtain. The size is made larger by removing the cushion aft with increases the leg room under the helm. This area has two opening ports for ventilation and both direct and indirect lighting. The cabinet work is superb and finished to a high standard.
Heads compartment with sea toilet and 100 litre black tank. Moulded sink unit and NEW shower unit fitted May 2016. Grey water tank fitted foe waste water, This is particulay useful if considering travelling to Scandinavia where these are a requirement. The heads area is a nice easy wipe down area with 12V lighting and an opening port for ventilation.
The fore cabin is large with an island berth. This cleverly has been constructed to raise revealing additional storage. Storage is brilliant as it is thanks to the two huge wardrobes with inbuilt shelving. There are hull mounted units port and starboard of the bed with storage drawers and vanity units. There is direct 12V lighting at deck head level but has additional discreet lighting around the berth and beneath the units giving a warm and relaxing feel to the state room. Large foredeck hatch ad two hull mounted port holes for natural light and ventilation.
