This Cosine Wherry 14 was built by Kerr Canoes in Spread Eagle, Wisconsin in 1999 and built of cedar strips. She was then fiberglassed with very thin material and epoxy coated. Dual rowing stations with heel steps and Wilcox Crittendon bronze rowlocks plus two sets of super lightweight oars with leathers fashioned by the builder. There is also single axle aluminum trailer in excellent condition as well as a custom cover.
These boats are used as trolling vessels (rowing only) in Wisconsin going after pike. It is also a great rower for exercise and cocktail cruising here on the Chesapeake Bay tributaries. A real head turner! Would make a great tender for a large vessel as it can carry a great amount of cargo to and from shore.
Note: The previous owner occasionally used an electric motor for propulsion as well. Not a bad way to go, easy and quiet.
