COMFORTABLE, FAST, QUIET, FULLY LOADED ALUMINUM DREAM! There's many marvelous words we can use to describe Ruff Rider, but we'd rather you spend some time with her in person. If you are a fan of aluminum boats and are in the market for all-around, trailer-able boat that is equal parts functional, low maintenance, safe, comfortable and adventuresome, Ruff Rider is where your search ends.
A comfortable overnight stay for four people is a perfect possibility on Ruff Rider. Enter the fully carpeted cabin through the 23x70 inch center-hinged cabin door, which opens fully and secures flush with the bulkhead and keeps the weather completely outside. Carpet paneling on the walls creates a cozy and quieter ride through any kind of chop. Your taller friends and family will appreciate the 6'2" headroom throughout the cabin. A private head with a Travelers marine toilet is located starboard. Just to the outside of head is a simple galley with a deep single stainless steel sink with Flojet 12v pressure water set in a beautiful Corian countertop. A one-burner Princess stove gives you a way to cook up a hot dish and the attached stovetop pot holder acts like a second pair of hands when you have to prepare food in bumpy waters. The huge teak-trimmed drawers and cabinet offer enough room to store food and all the dishes you'll need for your trip. Opposite the head and galley is a long convertible settee with a removable dinette table where three or four people can sit quite comfortably, depending on how much elbow room is needed. The vinyl covering makes cleaning any messes a simple task. Storage for blankets and pillows is located beneath the cushions. At night, this easily converts into a double berth. A bookend cabinet adds extra storage and a great place to put a flat screen TV or laptop for an evening movie at anchor or at the dock. While underway, the captain and first mate can travel in first class comfort on the two luxuriously cushioned Llebrock marine pedestal-mounted swivel helm seats with substantial arm rests and individual locker units for holding sunglasses, cell phones, magazines or keys. Large windows throughout the cabin, some with sliding side units, let in lots of light and provide excellent visibility around the entire vessel. Tucked in the bow of Ruff Rider is a spacious v-berth that sleeps two people quite comfortably and even has room enough for a boat-loving pooch or two. Two sources of heat a Dickinson Newport oil heater and forced air diesel furnace will keep Ruff Rider s cabin comfortably warm for year-round use.
Constructed with marine high grade aluminum, Ruff Rider's sizable self-bailing aft deck is checker plated for strength, durability and exceptional appearance. The enormous aft deck is fully outfitted for fishing with twelve rocket launchers, bait lockers, a secondary helm, and a FloJet saltwater wash down. If the weather gets wet simply stretch out the deck awning for instant shelter from the elements. The checker plated safety flooring extends along the side decks and to the bow. Hand railing provides access to the bow, where high rails create a secondary safe spot for casting a line or two. Ruff Rider's flat roof could be home to a small dinghy with room to spare for a couple of coolers or crab pots. Barbecue some of the day's catch on the Dickenson marine grill located off the stern rail while you enjoy some aural entertainment through the Alpine AM/FM CD stereo system with Bose deck speakers.
Ruff Rider has a whole lot of ponies behind her power, 450 to be exact. Her twin 2008 225 horsepower Yamaha gas outboard engines, each with 1,130 hours, push her up to a nice cruising speed of 32 knots at an RPM of 4,400. She has a top speed of 45 knots. Her 100 gallons of fuel will take you a nice long range of 175 miles at 18 gallons per hour. Her SeaStar hydraulic steering system and Morse cable controls at the main helm and cockpit are especially designed for the twin engine, high performance set-up of Ruff Rider. Anchoring is made simple with the Quick SS electric winch hooked up to a 22 pound SL Claw anchor and 280 feet total of chain and line.
