The Cork 1720 is designed to be a safe, affordable and exciting one-design keelboat. The concept arose as a result of the demise in handicap rating system as a basis for providing quality club level and international keelboat racing. The original idea was conceived by a group of committed racing member of the Royal Cork Yacht Club on the south coast of Ireland which was founded in 1720 and as such is the oldest yacht club in the world.

Vader is one of the 1720 being part of the Lagos sailing academy. You as a private owner can use the boat at any time you like but it will also be in use with the Lagos sailing academy. They provide free annual mooring in Marina de Lagos, sponsored by the marina. The sailing academy takes care for the normal cleaning and guardian age of the boat. Even the sails can be stored in their club house. This is the ideal solution of owning a sports boat on a very cost effective base.
