Since 1960 Arthur DeFever has penciled designs for at least 57 different models. Of this vast catalog of work, his most successful design would have to be the award-winning 44' Offshore Cruiser. Over the years the market also wanted a longer overall length, faster hull speeds and more comfort. Commonly referred to by DeFeverites as the "44 + 5", this 49' Cockpit Motor Yacht shares the same design as the most popular 44' while boasting an additional 5-foot cockpit making boarding a breeze. Also perfect al-fresco dining on deck above.
Sturdy fiberglass construction, long range sea-keeping ability and practical layouts make the Defever 49' a perfect yacht for extended cruising. These unfettered design characteristics of DeFever have gained the trust of boaters for decades and beyond.

This spacious, U-shaped galley (to port) is accessible as you enter the aft salon. Features include a full sized refrigerator with ice maker and many late model appliances you would find at home.
There is ample cabinetry above and below her granite countetops. The entire space becomes flooded with natural light from two windows. A large opening is convenient for visiting with guests in the main salon while hor d'oeuvres are being prepared for cocktail hour.
Forward of the galley (to port) you find an L-shape settee and salon table, flanked with two upholstered chairs.
A long cabinet (to starboard) has plenty of storage which conceals the TV/entertainment center. The countertop also makes for a nice bar. Above you will find Salon speakers great for entertaining guests. The vessel's interior sole at your feet is laid with teak parquet flooring.
Forward is the lower helm station and nav station both accessible by dual side-deck doors. Docking is made simple with quick passage to bow or stern over generous side decks, made safe with tall bulwarks. Throttle, bow thruster, windlass controls and dual helm electronics are available inside during foul weather or single handing.
Satisfaction boasts an open and beamy salon space with minimal built-in furniture. This DeFever design trait affords owners the opportunity to redecorate or customize as they see fit.
The forward V-berth is beautifully appointed for the guests. En-suite access to a spacious head and standing shower grants two people adequate private comforts. With her raised double berth this classic forepeak layout feels large due to the amount of storage below.
Aft of the salon and down four steps (which doubles as custom wine storage) finds you in the full-beam master suite. The first thing you notice is how warm and inviting the walkaround queen berth and cabinetry are within the "Captain's Quarters".
If the immense space of the stateroom weren't surprise enough - you find a door (to starboard) which opens to a large walk-in laundry room. Opposite the laundry room you find a generously sized head (to port) with separate shower fit for two.
