Handsomely finished with a teak and holly sole, cherry planking on hull, and a mixture of cherry and white bulkheads, Scallywag is open and uncluttered. In all there are (6) high quality ABI stainless opening window ports and (3) window hatches, all with oceanair shades. The high quality hardware and woodwork shows no signs of wear, a testament to how well the owner cared for Scallywag. In addition to the natural lighting and ventilation provided by all the opening windows, (6) overhead lights, (4) reading lamps, (2) fans, and reverse cycle air conditioning unit are also available.
Walk four steps down below, and you have the head through the privacy door to port, galley forward of the head, dinette to starboard and large v-berth forward.
The HEAD is spacious with plenty of storage. A Corean vanity sink with Hot/Cold water pressure has storage underneath, in lockers and drawers, and outboard. The shower as an automatic sump pump, which is easily accessible.
Forward of the head is the GALLEY with matching Corean countertops and deep sink. A microwave, (2) burner electric stove, norcold refrigerator, and 110v outlets help makes for a user-friendly galley. Underneath the counter is a cabinet and (3) drawers with additional storage outboard.
Athwartships the galley is the Dinette. Comfortable cushions wrapped in ultra suede and cherry table makes for a pleasant place to dine and/or relax out of the sun and in private. To convert to a double birth, simply ease the table down and insert the fitted cushions, which are neatly stored under the aft seat. Birth measures 48” wide and 79” long.
Furthest forward is the V-berth. Measuring 77’ long and 95’ wide, at is widest point, this berth is large and extra comfortable thanks to the memory foam mattress. At the foot is a 15’’ Samsung TV with DVD player. In all there are (2) hanging lockers, (2) cabinets, (2) drawers and shelving running forward port and starboard.
Extremely inviting, the helm deck is comfortable and a natural gathering area. Typical to the rest of the boat, she has everything from the varnished window trim to electric opening forward window. To port is a L-shaped settee with teak table inboard and serving bar/nav table forward. The cushions are ultra-leather and soft Forward on the settee is a backrest, which can be inserted while underway so the captain can have a forward-facing companion. To starboard and aft of the helm chair is a bench seat a storage compartment and an 110v/12v refrigerator.
While seated on the Stidd helm chair, you have great visibility over the bow and all around. Two Raymarine displays and autopilot make long trips a breeze. For docking, Hinckley JetStick allows you to maneuver the boat in tight areas with ease.
Scallywag has fantastic access to her mechanical gear, which makes for easier troubleshooting and less billed hours. Flick a switch and a 6’8” section of the helm deck comes up. She is also powered with the larger, 420hp Yanmar engines.
