The Hardy Commander 32 is the result of the great success and wide acceptance of the smaller Mariner. International designer Andrew Wolstenholme has produced an all-new, wide-beam, 32-foot sedan retaining all the classic Hardy Pilot characteristics. The hull has soft-riding forward sections combined with moderate-deadrise, high-lift aft sections and a full-length keel. This keel, combined with shallow tunnels, ensure that the stern gear is protected from grounding. The performance of the Commander 32 has proven to be outstanding, with the ability to cruise in excess of a 200-mile range at 22 knots. The full-length keel ensures good directional stability at all speeds. On a fine day, at the press of a button, a full-width glass section in the wheelhouse roof opens, and together with the opening side windows, centre windscreen and aft door, creates a spacious airy atmosphere. On a cold, damp, windy day all windows and hatches can be closed and with hot air gushing from heating outlets, she remains both warm and comfortable. In fact, she can truly be described as a boat for all seasons. Her wide beam and generous proportions have also allowed Hardy Marine's craftsmen to create a boat with splendid accommodation.
