The Hunter 356 was Named "Boat of the Year" by Cruising World and one of Sail Magazine's "Top Ten" in 2002! If you're looking for major comfort in a mid-size package and performance is important, then the Hunter 356 could be your answer.
The deck layout reflects the innovation that accompanies the rig. An integrated arch keeps the large cockpit clear and open. A bimini protects the crew from the blistering sun. The swim platform and walkthrough transom, complete with shower and folding ladder, are perfect for water sports or easy boarding. As a bonus, storage is everywhere you look.
Comfort is truly important aboard whether for a week or a year, so Hunter has created an interior that not only looks good, but works for you as well. Two private, large staterooms along with an enormous head with shower and a salon that can seat eight plus a spacious galley will keep all the crew happy. This is the "perfect" boat for couples and families who want to weekend and take extended vacations.

Below deck, the wide beam allows for a spacious interior. The forward stateroom features a large 6’6” V-berth and plenty of storage with twin hanging lockers, shelves, drawers and a cabinet. The massive deck hatch keeps it bright and airy.
Continuing aft into the huge salon, there is a large, U-shaped dinette that seats five and easily converts to a berth when needed. The 6’7” straight settee to port also serves as a single berth. Staying to port, next there is a comfortable nav station and spacious head with separate shower. The large galley is opposite to starboard.
All the way aft is the full-beam owner's stateroom with a queen-sized bed with small vanity and large hanging locker. This comfortable space is packed full of storage space and convenience features.
The air conditioning system insures the interior stays comfortable when at dock while the large opening hatches provide great ventilation when underway.
The large galley features:
Due to the expanded beam in the aft section, the cockpit is wide enough to allow a big crew to move around easily or accommodate guests while at anchor. The 7' long cockpit seats are big enough to stretch out for a night under the stars if weather permits. Long stainless steel rails on deck provide great hand holds for safety and plenty of tie down space to secure sails, water toys or whatever else might be kept on deck.
