Style and convenience are blended together on the Four Winns 268 Vista. Balance, responsiveness, and design are hallmarks of the Stable-Vee hull and its superior performance. Full meal preparation facilities and convenient storage are standards with a microwave as an available option. Storage is found throughout the head compartment.
Comparison to Sea Ray 260
Comments taken from various forums-
The Four Winns layout has some advantages over the Sea Ray. The Aft Cabin access and access to the Head is a more practical layout. Access to the bow deck without having to close the cabin door, and the large flat chart area at the helm is better laid out. Many Four Winns owners also like the Radar Arch and Canvas Options better on the Four Winns.
Although the Sea Ray had a slightly sharper Deadrise angle at the transom, the bow entry on the Four Winns is deeper and there was more of a bow flare, which keeps the boat completely dry in some pretty rough conditions. That combined with the StableVee hull design, makes for a great ride and good stability while on the hook.
Also, the cabin portholes can be left open with the screens in place while tied up at the dock during the week because the position of the portholes on the Four Winns is below the gunwale so that with the big flare, the cabin stays dry even if it rains. The portholes in the Sea Ray are above the gunwale and would need to be kept closed in the event of rain.
Lastly, there are so many Sea Ray 260's that owners thoroughly enjoy having the Four Winns 268 Vista which really stands out from the crowd! you will always get a ton of compliments on my 268 Vista from the other boat owners.
