Built for the existing owner and captain-maintained since new, the Sea Spud is tournament rigged and built for travel. She is a proven fish raiser, from tournament wins in the NC Governor's Cup to thousands of billfish releases from her travels to FL, Mexico, the Bahamas, and Costa Rica. The Sea Spud has just recently returned from a 2 year trip to Costa Rica with1088 Blue Marlin, 10 Black Marlin, 37 Stripe marlin, and countless sails!
The topsides were painted in 2011. Prior to her trip south, the Sea Spud went in the yard at Bayliss Boatworks in late 2013 for the following:

The salon features two ultra leather couches that face each other. An L shaped to port and and settee to starboard with storage underneath both. Electrical panel conveniently located in aft bulkhead next to salon door behind cherry doors. A large dinette is located just forward of starboard settee capable of seating 4 comfortably.

The galley is located on the port side of the salon. This area features two sub zero refrigerator drawers, two sub zero freezer drawers, convection/microwave oven, a two burner glass cooktop (recessed), abundant storage, a stainless sink with cover, and Corian countertops.

The stairs from the salon down to the companionway lead first to an over-under bunk room to starboard with storage underneath the bottom bunk and a cedar-lined closet. A door connects the bunk room with a full head that is also accessible by another door from the companionway.
Across from the starboard bunk room is the full queen master stateroom. There is ample walk space around the bed with storage underneath the bed. It also houses cedar-lined closets with mirrored doors, night stands on both sides with storage above and below, a Sharp 27" flat screen tv with Fusion AM/FM/AV/DVD player, and Cruisair controls bedside. It is joined by a private ensuite full head with dorian countertops, mirrored medicine cabinet, and oversized shower with a full glass door.
Leaving the master and walking forward down the companionway, there is a washer/ dryer to starboard, hidden by a cherry veneer door. Forward of that on the same side is a huge tackle room with storage on the walls and overhead for multiple rods. It is well-lit and also has tons of storage in drawers and cabinets.
In the bow is the VIP stateroom with full crossed bunks, a Sharp flat screen TV, cedar-lined hanging locker, and lots of storage under the bunks.
There is elevated mezzanine seating to port and starboard as you walk out of the salon door. Underneath the seating is a large bait freezer, an insulated cooler, and drawer tackle storage. The well designed cockpit has 6 clearing rod holders on the tower legs, 8 gunnel mount rod holders on the teak covering boards, a huge transom fish box, a transom door, oversized covered scuppers, a teak deck, lazarette access, a fighting chair with rocket launcher, dockside water inlet, fresh and raw water wash downs, and 50 amp shore power inlets on both sides for docking convenience.
Engine room is accessed by the center stairs hatch in the mezzanine. The engine room was faired and painted during the repower in 2013. Plenty of space and head room makes maintenance and cleaning easy. 2 Westerbeke generators are located port and starboard in aft part of engine room.

The bridge is easily-accessed by the forward-facing ladder in the mezzanine. The bridge access also has a door for added safety. Once up top, the first thing you notice are the upgraded Stidd helm chairs and excellent visibility. The electronics are flush mounted in a fixed electronics box with plexiglass slide covers. There is wrap around seating forward of the helm with storage underneath.
