AFRICAN JACANA is fitted out in teak finished in a satin varnish to Hallberg-Rassy's traditionally high standard. She has blue Alcantara in the saloon with a durable blue deluxe upholstery in the cabins. She also benefits from the natural ventilation built into the design. Climma reverse cycle airconditioning units in main saloon, forward cabin and aft cabin.
Large folding leaf table to starboard in the saloon to an L shaped settee with stowage outboard and below. Two comfortable arm chairs to port with two folding chairs. Stowage above and below with a central stowage unit between the chairs that also houses a stereo and a pop up television. Large opening ports in the coach roof, fixed ventilation through dorade vents and opening deck hatches. Headroom 1.92m/6’3½”.
Forward facing, to starboard at the bottom of the companionway, the chart table is readily accessed from the cockpit and includes chart stowage within and an instrument shelf for large multi purpose screen and flush mounted monitors. Outboard is a custom made DC distribution panel with fuses for 12 and 24volt circuits and monitors for batteries and tanks.
The galley is at the bottom of the companionway to port and extends into the walk through to the aft cabin with work tops on either side making a safe galley on passage with plenty of working space. The galley has a top opening freezer, top opening fridge, front opening day fridge and microwave. There is a gimballed all electric hob, oven and grill in stainless steel from Force 10, plenty of 230v outlets and stowage above and below.
The aft cabin has a generously proportioned double berth on the centreline with access from both sides, a dressing table to port, ample hanging locker space and many smaller lockers and drawers. Fixed ventilation through dorade vents three opening ports and a large opening deck hatch. The heads compartment is en-suite and includes a separate shower stall, wash basin, lockers above and below and opening port light.
AFRICAN JACANA has a large double cabin forward with en-suite heads/shower compartment, with washing machine, giving guests a generous cabin with equal status to the aft cabin. This is a spacious cabin with plenty of stowage and adjoining the foc’sle with a traditional "V" berth with infill to create a double berth if required.
Walk in engine room with composite sound insulation behind perforated aluminium panels throughout. Volvo Penta D3-110 110HP fresh water cooled 4 cylinder marine diesel engine with hydraulic gearbox and Aquadrive anti-vibration coupling.
