Gitana is a one-owner, fresh water vessel that was equipped as a performance cruiser by knowledgeable ex-racers. Always winter stored in heated building, Gitana has stayed indoors for the past two summers. There are custom canvas sleeves to protect the mast and spreaders which are also stored indoors.
In addition to her Vacuum-infused Epoxy/lE-Glass hull and deck and carbon mast and pocket boom, she features Powerlight PBO standing rigging which saves 65% weight aloft compared to the standard stainless wire.
The very efficient shoal draft Beavertail bulbed keel draws just five feet but delivers great stability and sailing performance on all points of sail. While Gitana has never raced, her sisterships have done very well when raced, especially in point-to-point races such as the Chicago to Mackinac race.
The owners also chose North 3DL sails to further reduce weight and improve performance and ride quality by reducing heeling and pitching motions.

Gitana is unique among Tartan 3700ccr's and is a must-see for anyone seriously considering a great boat with a great sail inventory!
