The Marten 49 sailing yacht "Optimus Prime" is a state of the art cruiser/racer from the famous Reichel Pugh drawing board and incorporates the best in technology, luxury, comfort and speed. Featuring all carbon fibre construction, bespoke timber and leather interior and the latest in equipment, Optimus Prime is extremely comfortable but also a very competitive yacht with an impressive number of first and fastest wins. Sailed mainly in Western Australia she has also competed in 3 Sydney to Hobart yacht races and the Melbourne to Osaka double handed race.
With the capacity to cruise in absolute luxury with a minimum number of crew the Marten 49 transforms into a fast racing boat with the inclusion of an experienced racing crew and racing sails. Optimus Prime has been sailed with this in mind and as can be seen from her history, she has excelled in these regards.
Having had the boat since new and with enviable sailing adventures and racing successes behind him the owner now wishes to sell Optimus Prime and pursue other interests.
Optimus Prime is in excellent condition and has been maintained at the highest level, which has been necessary to fulfill the goals she was designed for and to achieve the satisfaction and success that she has.
