Tried and tested, Tara is hull number 68 of Oyster's iconic range, the Oyster 56. She features a dark blue hull, traditional teak joinery and comprises eight berths in four cabins. Her exceptional performance is enhanced by her fully battened mainsail and cutter rig, yet she is also set up for short handed sailing with two Reckmann electric furlers on the headsails.
Tara has been cruising mainly around the Aegean and Mediterranean. She has never chartered and has had one happy owner since her launch in 2009. Tara is only for sale as her owner has a larger Oyster in build.

To starboard is a three-seater settee. The bar unit accommodates glass stowage.
Access to the saloon from the companionway is down a set of shaped timber and stainless steel steps. Two timber grab handles are fitted either side of the companionway opening.
At the aft end of the saloon. The chart table can accommodate a half-folded Admiralty chart with a bookshelf outboard of this. Navigational and electronics equipment flush-mounted in dark grey Alcantara fascia. AC and DC electrical panels are located behind the navigator’s seat.

All galley work surfaces are finished in Avonite, with Avonite upstands, which provide a stylish, hardwearing and attractive finish to protect the surrounding timber.
