If you're dreaming of a classic daysailer for exploring the harbor and/or teaching your grandchildren to sail; one that makes you proud and is not a "project" - this might be the boat for you.
Built in 1935 by the esteemed Herreshoff Manufacturing Company, GOT-CHA was recently completely rebuilt and is in showroom condition both structurally and cosmetically. She is a boat that could be launched tomorrow and would require nothing. She has her original Herreshoff builders plate, is marconi rigged and comes with a custom trailer, boom tent, and two sets of sails.
The first H 12 1/2 footers were built in 1914 by Herreshoff Mfg. Co, of Bristol, RI for the purpose of teaching kids to sail. The unique popularity and longevity of this design has continued for over one hundred years, and today 12 1/2's are sailed and raced by those all ages. The venerable 12 1/2 is still considered to be one of the finest small sailing yacht designs ever created.
