Beautiful custom 1939 classic wooden/glass sailing sloop, on Lake Winnipesaukee, NH. The Miriam Elizabeth (ME) has been featured in magazines, highlighting her re-birth and custom finish. The second owner had two shipwrights rebuild ME over a two year period. As a result they sealed the hull in five layers of fiberglass. Also custom making all bright work areas with Honduras mahogany and other hardwoods. The current owner sealed with e-epoxy. Hence she is a dry boat. ME is a forgiving boat for how well she sails and handles in all weathers. She has been clocked at 6.7 knots and is extremely stable in 25k winds. The ease of sailing comes from not having to leave the cockpit and being fitted with a roller furling. The 1985 Yamaha Outboard sits in a well. Which means no lines or motor in sight. Motor has been used sparingly and been well maintained. You will enjoy the self-bailing cockpit. Boat and hatch covers are covered with Sunbrella.
