Beautiful example of a New England Classic. Dyer Yachts have been building the classic downeast hull with modern technology since there inception in 1930.
Half Shell is no exception. She has been extremely well cared for. Recent repower with a pair of Yanmar 6LP STE 315hp engines showing 1026 hours. Most recently a new fuel tank qnd fuel lines are to be installed, as well as continually maintained by the very knowledgeable Triad Boatworks. She has the classic Herreshoff interior that is warm and comfortable, yet modern enough with all amenities. Half Shell is layed out for a great day on the water with friends, and then allows a perfect platform for a couples cruise. Take a look at "Half Shell"under the "Full Specs" tab and then give me a call to see a wonderful classic.

Manufacturer Provided Description
The Dyer 40 Express Cruiser is custom finished for each owner. A typical layout has the main cabin all the way forward with a V-berth, large hanging locker, and plenty of drawer storage. In the main salon, further accommodation is provided by a convertible dinette settee, thus enabling four to sleep aboard without crowding. The portside galley contains a refrigerator and freezer, a gas stov, and a sink. With 200 gallons of fuel in two tanks and a pair of Yanmar 6LP 315 hp engines, the 40 will top out at 24 knots. She'll also cruise for approximately 250 miles at 20 knots, a range which makes a trip down island from the mainland eminently feasible, especially given the excellent seakeeping qualities of the hull.
