VESSEL DETAILS
Accommodations:
Hull #63, “SAIL ON” is the last Camper and Nicholson’s 39 Center Cockpit made. Sail On is an exceptional boat, as seen in the details below, but more than that offers a cruising couple or family a boat which is roomy, easy to handle and above all, seaworthy. As one descends the companionway from the very secure and comfortable center cockpit you find yourself in a completely remodeled and refinished interior. Oyster bulkheads with solid wood trim, doors and galley table (the original solid wood blank for which was $800.00) offer a cozy, but well lit interior with a large aft facing chart/nav table and L-shaped settee to port opposing an equally wide starboard settee. The starboard settee provides a sea berth via a forward trotter box. Continuing forward through the bulkhead and solid companionway door is the guest stateroom area with in-suite head and loads of storage. This area is accented with wood ceilings and solid trim as in the salon. To starboard of the companionway and aft is the fantastic galley that features dual freezer/refrigeration, LP stove/oven, custom cabinetry/dishes and a tambour door crockery garage. This area is also light and airy with custom corian counters as the finishing touch. Once again, loads of storage and light make this galley unique. Engine room access is located here in addition to the sail locker and a cockpit sole hatch. Further aft is the master stateroom suite with private head and huge master berth double to starboard and single to port. There is a dedicated Captain’s desk here in addition to even more storage. Though we have tried to relate the value and desirability of this boat, it can only be fully understood by getting aboard. If your list is for an affordable and ready to go cruising boat with a divided rig that makes operation easy even for seasoned sailors, this is your boat.
